The problem with my photography is that as much as I love to shoot, often I'm hunting around looking for something to shoot. Sounds crazy I know, but I seem to end up firing off at the same old subjects.
For 2013, I want to push myself more, learn more about what I can and can't do and get some critique for some of the images I'm taking.
I've tried and failed miserably in the past to do 365's (where you shoot a photo every day). I just seem to end up rushing around taking a photo of something random after a week, and finally losing my way after about 70 days, so this year I'm going to attempt a 52.
A 52 is a photo a week, based on a given theme. It's run through one of the big photography forums I drop into, talkphotography. It's very well organised, so should give me quite a challenge. Certainly looking at last years attrition rate, there are plenty who start, few that finish...
Week 1 is Sin, so it's a nice steady start for me - the aim is to get started, take on board some critique and get better as the weeks go by. Let's see how we go!
